Eliteness Tracker Week 12

Ah, so much praise for Minnesota last week goes right down the drain the next week. Such is college football. Our #4 and #5 teams took Ls this week, while #6 Georgia got a big win at Auburn. Therefore, the big winner of the week has to be the Bulldogs. Of course, this might be a temporary situation as Georgia will have to face LSU in the SEC Championship game. LSU would be favored to win that game, of course, and the ensuing chaos from a UGA loss would open the door for a whole host of teams. But that’s why we’re here.

Along with Minnesota, the biggest loser this week was Baylor. No longer undefeated, they will slide back from #6 to #10 this week. Oklahoma absorbs the mojo from Baylor and moves into fantastic position in the #5 spot. With a potential loss for Georgia on the horizon, Oklahoma is in good shape to make the CFP. The potential Oregon/Utah winner would be next in the pecking order. This is all dependent on all of the teams winning out and that isn’t guaranteed either. It’s more likely that we will have another shake-up along the way.
